Delphinus - Reflect and Review
Dear Parents
The first part of the week was all about the Nativity. Many members of staff have commented on how well the children did: - they were composed and respectful, managed to sit for 20 minutes, remembered their lines and when and where to stand. All of these tasks are complicated for very young children. I hope some great family memories were made during the performance and that your child grew in confidence just a little more. (if you saw any funny moments, I recommend this book - Wayne in the Manger by Gervaise Phinn as a great Christmas read!) Thank you to you for all your support with costumes, and with the practising of the lines and the carols - it is very much appreciated. We’ve been catching up on PE this week and the children have also had more ‘free choice’, and a relaxing Crafting afternoon, assembling parts of cards and gifts.
Mr Waldock has asked for donations of junk modelling for our Christmas house event on Friday. He would like as many cereal boxes, cardboard rolls, yoghurt pots, etc as is possible! No giant boxes please, nothing where a side is bigger than A3 paper!
Coming up
Monday – All Aboard the Polar Express!
Start the week by jumping on the festive train! Children can come dressed for a magical ride: PJs, conductor vibes, or any look that screams “hot chocolate at 3 AM.”
Delphinus will be watching this iconic movie with their very own dancing waiters to deliver them hot chocolate!
Tuesday – Sparkle & Shine
Children can wear their most shimmering, glimmering, twinkling outfits.
Wednesday – Head-to-Toe Christmas
Bring out your merry headgear and Christmas shoes and socks. If your toes are dashing and your head is dancing… you’re on the right track.
Thursday – Christmas Jumper Day 2.0
You snow the drill: pull out those festive jumpers for round two! The bolder, the brighter, the better.
Friday – Freestyle Christmas
It’s time to express your elf! Anything Christmasy goes: reindeer glam, gingerbread chic, full Santa realness.
