Delphinus - Reflect and Review
Dear Parents,
It's been a busy week in Delphinus. Children this week have been doing lots and lots of maths especially subtraction within 20 and have been valiantly tackling some tricky maths sentences. They have also been working hard on their spellings, sentence structures and joining words. We have started learning a new song in preparation for a day long workshop with Oxford Song on the 25th March. In PE on Fridays we are doing Orienteering (Mondays is Gymnastics) which, this week, has been focussed on team activities on the field and discussions about how to work well as part of a team.
On a personal note, as a follow up to the letter that went out on MCAS today, I will greatly miss your children whom I have grown very fond of and I’m very proud of the progress they have made this year. I am sorry to be leaving them. I will be pursuing new opportunities including being a resident teacher for a time at an International School in the Canary Islands (starting after Easter) and then working on a book project before returning to a UK school. We will have a little party on our last day together in two weeks and I will stay in touch.
