Delphinus - Reflect and Review
Dear Delphinus!
Coming to the end of another week, I think it's safe to say that the weather has certainly made itself known! We have all been doing our best to keep cool during the heatwave, and the children have been absolutely brilliant at adapting to our slightly different routine.
With the exceptionally hot weather, we have made a few changes to our timetable to ensure everyone stayed safe, happy and regulated. We have spent lots of time outdoors enjoying supervised water play and water fights, which the children absolutely loved! During the hottest parts of the day, we have focused on calm, creative activities in the classroom including art, crosswords, maths, drawing and taking part in whole-school and mixed-class activities. It has been lovely to see the children enjoying time with different adults and children across school while still keeping cool.
The children have shown fantastic resilience and maturity throughout the week despite the unusual conditions. They have been kind to one another, sensible during water play and have done a wonderful job of looking after themselves by drinking plenty of water and finding shade when needed.
As we come towards the end of the school year, we are continuing to enjoy spending time together, celebrating all of the progress the children have made and creating lots of happy memories.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support. We hope you all have a lovely, relaxing weekend and enjoy the sunshine (hopefully with a little less heat!).
