Draco Reflect and Review

Dear Parents, 

What a busy 3 days! In English, Draco adapted a short section of the novel we've bee reading into a scene from a playscript and Corvus wrote some excellent letters. As mathematicians, Draco spent time recapping the 3, 6 and 9 times-tables and found connections between these. Please could children continue to practise their times tables in preparation for the work we will be doing in Maths over the course of the year. Corvus have been continuing with their column addition learning 

On Monday and Tuesday, Draco were introduced to our partner school in India. This is a project that the school is doing through the British Council that the rest of the school will find out about next term! Corvus have been exploring Sikhism through the question; ‘Does Khalsa make someone a better Sikh?’.

We also had a fantastic week with our special visitors! We were thrilled to welcome children’s poet and author Samantha Rodgers to our school— the children left her assembly inspired and full of creative ideas. If you'd like to explore her books you can do so here.

The children continued this energy today by taking part in a range of active challenges, celebrating teamwork and the importance of keeping fit and healthy.

We are also excited to invite you to our North Hinksey Launch Event at Junior Parkrun on Sunday, 2nd November — and we’d love to see as many of you there as possible!
