Pegasus - Reflect and Review
Dear Parents and Carers,
We have had a great week of learning in Pegasus class. In Maths, we have been learning how to create our own equal groups using cubes to understand how to create multiplication sentences. In English, we have been using the 5 senses to write our own setting descriptions about the forest.
In DT, we have been designing and making our own bridges (remembering the engineer Brunel) out of junk modelling, including toilet rolls for pillars and pipe cleaners for cabling. We will be testing our bridges with a toy car to see who has the strongest bridge! In Computing, we have been exploring how to count and compare data. We created our own data about favourite sports using tallies and pictograms.
Next week:
Next week, in Maths, we will be learning how to group and share to create our own division number sentence. In English and wider curriculum we will be learning Sikhism, considering the question “Who is God to Sikhs?”
Please remember to do the Maths homework ready to hand in on Monday - look at the sticker on the homework books if you need a reminder of which weeks are due in.
Other information
We have started using the school field so please ensure that your child brings indoor shoes to school to wear in the classroom. There are several students who do not currently seem to have them and when it is muddy, children won’t be allowed on the field if they do not have changes of shoes.
