Pegasus - Reflect and Review

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have had a great week of learning in Pegasus class. In Maths, we have been using dienes to add and subtract 2 digit by 1 digit numbers. In English, we have been creating our own adventure stories using our story map about the journey of a snail on the whale, choosing our own settings and characters. 

In RE, we have been sequencing the order of events during Shabbat and the Sabbath. We discussed the positives and challenges of Jewish children in celebrating Shabbat, such as giving up electronic devices. Then we identified the features of a synagogue and reflected on the meaning of Sabbath by considering our own special places that are peaceful. 

Next week:

It was our last week as Pegasus this week, with students moving up to Corvus with Misha. I know that he is very excited for the year ahead. It has been a pleasure teaching Pegasus this year and I wish them all the best for a smooth transition to Corvus class.
